| Well, I'm immensely enjoying the warm weather. I used to love
winter when I was young, but now my interests have shifted to more
outdoor activities like backpacking, volleyball, and sun
lounging. There is so little time left for this as my tenure here
draws to an end. There is less than a month left of my entire 17
year long school career. I feel I am just drifting to the end
ahead of a massive lifelong effort, but I know it's a new dawn.
Going to classes and the daily school interactions are all I have known
since I can remember. I feel ready for the sea change that is
going to happen in my life, optimistic that the fate I have desired
lies just over the next hill.
Nothing will change much in the immediate time after graduation as I
will be going back home. There, I already have a job arranged as
a flight instructor to gain the experience required for a career in
aviation. I love being home with my friends and family, but I
will miss everyone dearly. Maybe my wanderlust will bring me back
here some day, yet I really can't predict where I will end up.
Some day, when I eventually settle down, I hope to live somewhere
beautiful like a moutain facing the ocean.
Anyway, that's enough of that.

| It's good to be back from an alternate
dimension. The guy you've seen around and about was indeed bizaro
me. Unfortunately, people from the bizaro-verse lack the ability
to type on our "normal" qwerty (try typing qwerty in a sentence
sometime, it's strange) keyboards as I assure you I can. Whilst
there, I learned only how to type on their "normal" bizaro
keyboards.
But seriosly, I'm a terrible and inconsistent
weblogonite (I hope I just made up a new word there, but probably not)
who tends to take months off at a time. There are massive gaps in
my freeopendiary including the one stretching from some distance in the
past to well, now. Not to say nothing notable has happened in the
past months, I'm just neglectful of such things.
This being my final semester of school ever is
shaping up to be the best ever of my entire learning experience.
I've worked hard (yet sometimes hardly) to get to this point and now I
seem to be coasting easily to the end. I only needed 12 hours to
finish my degree in Aerospace and saw no electives worth taking.
None worth having class on any other day than tuesday or thursday that
is. I have class only on those days and the rest I devote to
flying, video games, and soccer. My classes require no outside
assignments, papers, projects, or presentations. I just have to
show up, which is incredibly easy considering they're all in the same
building, at sequential interval, and close to where I live. I am
feebly trying to get employment at various places but haven't heard
back from any of them. If I weren't so content with my current
situation, I might try harder. That is what I plan to do today
during my mid-week break, wednesday. So long and good luck to all.

| I got ready to play a soccer match tonight, but as I neared the field,
all the lights were out. No one thought to inform me the games
were cancelled (I guess because it might have rained, lame), but that's
ok, I live right next to the fields anyway. I just came back,
transitioned from soccer to pirate, and went to the Boro to see
Keymaster ~ The Lords of Everything. It was a fun night, saw some
old friends and new. Brandon, Jeff, Sarah, Grant, Doug, and of
course Steven were there. A couple bands played before Keymaster
and were pretty good, namely Lipstick Killers. Two other people
were dressed as pirates, if only eveyone knew the
splendor.... But anyway, Keymaster was rockin and hilarious
as I expected them to be. I used my crappy plastic pirate
implements against a small mosh pit which I was in on and off.
Thankfully, I wore my large boots for stomping people. I may go
see Keymaster again on sunday as they are again descending upon the
Boro to unleash metal apocalypse or something. Anyone interested
should attend, visit the website to experience dooooom!

| Fall break was an excellent time. Bryan, Kevin, Mike, Russell,
Wendy, and I camped a night in the smokies near elkmont. Mike
backed over our family sized can o' beans after I forgot it under the
car. We pried the can open, but it seemed I was the only one
hungry for beans. More for me I thought, but eating 20+ OZ. of
beans on a camping trip is not advisable. The weather was perfect
the next day as we went on a couple hikes around the smokies. The
chimney tops were beautiful. I want to go camping again, but I
think I'm ready for some backpacking.
I went home sunday night and put my vote in. If only it counted...

| Those 6 am flights didn't really work out. The weather here just doesn't seem to want to cooperate. I've still been flying a lot on weekends and in the evenings. I will finish my commercial license this semester at this pace.
I'm really looking forward to fall break. I believe there's a plan forming to go camping somewhere around the Noog. After that, I'm going to go home and vote early even if it doesn't count (you Ohio kids had better vote, this means you Emily). At least then I can say I tried to make America a better place, then move to Canada with Bryan while this country goes to hell in a hand-basket. But hey, what can one person do in four years anyway, oh wait, nevermind. Anyway, fall break - camping - democratic duty - good times. | | |
